Tackles...tackles...tackles! Which kind of tackle should I use? Which is best? Which can really lure fish? Have you also asked these questions to yourself? The very first time I set on the Golden Triangle in Idaho, I literally brought with me three kinds of tackles: the dry, the wet, and the wet-dry. Most anglers call them flies. Hey, they are used to deceive fishes. It is a funny, but effective, trick that we could use to catch more fish.
To lure the fish, we should use the most effective lure tackle. Honestly, at first, I did not like the idea of using
lure tackles or lure flies. Why? I just thought that fish can distinguish them. Fish are not idiots enough not to differentiate real bait from false bait, right? But, after some time, I realized that I am running out of worm, I mean, stock of bait. At the same time, when I found out that it is impractical to use fish baits like the
silver anchovy creature, I decided to try flies. You know what? They are equally effective.
It was really amazing. The manufacturers of these must have thought like a fish. Hey, do not get me wrong, but the effectivity of the tackles were enhanced by their designs. The dry ones, for example, have feathery structures that really make them resemble flies or wild flying bugs. On the other hand, the wet flies really look like insects that float on the water surface. Meanwhile, the wet-and-dry flies captures the simulacrum of a dragon fly or a big bumble bee.
