I remember my Dad when he first taught me and brother, Jerry, how to catch a fish. I was fascinated with the boat that my Mom gave to Dad on one of their
wedding anniversaries. This fishing boat really got my attention, that's why I got interested in fishing. Jerry and I had to learn to tie the knot and other fishing gears in order to get a good catch.
The boat is a 25-feet long
wood boat, equipped with bait, tackle, fishing poles, and a tank for live fishes. An open platform was provided in order for us to catch a fish from any side of the boat.
I am thankful that my Dad was so patient to share with us the things he knew about fishing. My family used to spend overnight in our huge fishing boat to enjoy the breeze of the lake while eating our
delicious fish chow. Now, that I am also a parent, I will teach my two sons the same knowledge that I learned from my Dad. I really want my kids to remember my dad, and share with them our happy fishing moments when I was just a boy.
